1987

Neubauer Automation is founded by Hermann Neubauer. The first special machines for the automotive supply industry are built on an area of 100 square metres.

Christoph Neubauer, the son of Hermann Neubauer, starts active work in the company with responsibility for developing Neubauer machines.

1996

Development and manufacture of a deburring robot to clean foundry tools used in glass bottle manufacture.

Manufacture of an automatic circular measurement device for the automobile industry which measures gearbox sealing rings exactly using a laser.

1998

A pioneering development for the Neubauer Automation company: The first functioning prototype of the ESPASO automatic asparagus sorting machine sees the light of day.

1999

After a one year period of development, the ESPASO is introduced to the public for the first time and with great success at the asparagus trade fair in Leese.

2000

The start of a success story: At the asparagus trade fair in Leese, Neubauer Automation is awarded the prize for innovation, and the first four ESPASO 12 machines are delivered in Germany.

2001

The story continues: Following increasing interest, the production department is expanded by 600 metres in order to satisfy growing demand. This year, 12 asparagus sorting machines are sold and put into service.

2003

Established in the market: In 2003, more than 30 ESPASO machines are sold, and the first large company is equipped with several asparagus sorting machines.

2004

Growing demand makes it necessary to increase the production department by an additional 500 square metres to 1100 square metres.

Expansion abroad: 2005 brings one more milestone in the ESPASO success story. A cooperative in France is equipped with several ESPASO asparagus sorting machines.

2011 is characterised by pioneering new developments and improvements to details (water jet cutting technology in the ESPASO, the ASPAWAAG weighing machine). In addition, the first ESPASOs are exported overseas (Peru).

The passion for technical development and the improvement of processes have always been and continue to be what motivates Hermann and Christoph Neubauer. In 2012, the Neubauer company is awarded the expoSE's innovation prize for its water jet cutting technology.

2013

The Neubauer company takes additional steps towards a competitive and successful future. The production area is modernised and expanded to 2500 square metres including the showroom areas.
